Biography
A Swiss painter born in 1969 in Mitrovica (Kosovo).
It was only 1993 when he landed on the shores of Lake Geneva in Lausanne. From his young age, endowed with a real vocation, Asllani was captivated by the universe of drawing. At school, his copybook was filled with sketches of his surrounding world. Very early, he was quickly noticed for his talent as a draftsman: his sketches and his satires were regularly published in the main daily newspapers of the country.
As he entered the gates to the Fine-Arts, Asllani abandoned caricature to devote himself totally to painting. Inspired by surrealism, his work unfolds between visions, universes and dreamlike delusions. His paintings bring life back to a forgotten world, that of tales, myths and popular legends.
Wavering between deep artistic reflection and a profusion of exhilarating feelings, each painting is like a high point, a temporary suspension of passing time. Each painting is a deep sigh of joy, anger or sadness.
The precision and regularity of his Chinese ink line delicately reveal the chiaroscuro of his paintings. His pen traces both the power of a landscape and the softness of a woman’s curves. When Asllani touches on the infinitely small, he brings into resonance the vestiges of the past.
Large acrylic paintings in dazzling colours, enriched with a multitude of arabesques in black ink, characterize this evolution. The sometimes-tormented landscapes, the characters and objects depicted in a realistic or allegorical way, arouse intense emotions in the spectator by the variety of subjects presented.
Guided by his feelings, the various periods of his life have been laid down on canvas. The circumstances of life at the time of his youth influenced the appearance of dark and cold shadows, brightening over the years, to deliver lighter and brighter paintings, with always in the watermark, a totally recognizable style.
His work has been exhibited in many galleries in Switzerland, as well in Italy, France, United States, Luxembourg, Germany, and USA.
Critics portray Asllani as a « uniquely styled » painter.

Schweizer Maler geboren im Jahre 1969 in Mitrovica, Kosovo, 1993 zieht er nach Lausanne.
Das künstlerische Leben von Sam Asllani beginnt bereits in frühen Jahren. Somit füllt er schon in der Schule in seinem Dorf seine Textbücher mit Zeichnungen. Sein Talent wird rasch von mehreren Tageszeitungen erkannt, welche seine Karikaturen und Illustrationen veröffentlichen. Als er jedoch die Kunstschule beginnt legt er die Karikaturen ab, um sich vollkommen der Malerei zu widmen.
Asllanis Werke reflektieren eine konstante Entwicklung künstlerischen Denkens und des Ausdrucks von Emotionen. Die Anfänge, die Zeit der Einführung und Entstehung, sind stark vom Surrealismus inspiriert. Das Merkmal seiner Malerei ist die methodische Anwendung der harmonischen Linie aus Tusche. Mithilfe einer Schreibfeder zeichnet er präzise Spuren, unterstreicht die Formen und bekräftigt dessen Distinktivität.
Es folgt eine Periode der Entwicklung der künstlerischen Identitätdurch die Lehre der Farben im Zusammenspiel mit Formen. Die Synthese der Erfahrungen, auf der einen Seite mit der Tusche, und auf der anderen seite mit den Farben, führen zu bemerkenswerten Werken mit einzigartigem Stil. Diese Entwicklung wird von grossen Akrylgemälden aus leuchtenden Farben, bereichert mit unzähligen Arabesken aus Tusche, charakterisiert. Zum Teil düstere Landschaften und realistische oder gar allegorische Charakteren und Objekte lösen bei der Audienz intensive Emotionen aus, der Vielzahl seiner präsentierten Sujets wegen.
Die verschiedenen Lebensabschnitte und dessen ausgelöste Gefühle spiegeln sich auf Asllanis Gemälden wieder. Die Lebensumstände seiner jungen Jahre beeinflussen das Erscheinen von dunklen und kalten Schatten, welche aber im Laufe der Jahre erhellen, um ein leichteres und erleuchteteres Werk zu erschaffen, immer noch zwischen den Zeilen im gleichen wiedererkennbarem Stile.
Seine Werke wurden in Zahlreichen Galerien in der Schweiz, sowie im Ausland ausgestellt.

La vie artistique de Sam Asllani commence dès son plus jeune âge. Alors qu’à l’école du village il remplit de dessins ses cahiers d’écriture, son talent est rapidement remarqué par divers grands quotidiens qui publient régulièrement ses caricatures et illustrations. Dès son entrée aux Beaux-Arts, il abandonne la caricature pour se consacrer entièrement à la peinture.
L’œuvre de Samedin Asllani reflète une constante évolution dans la réflexion artistique et l’expression des émotions. Teintée d’onirisme, sa période d’initiation et de formation est fortement inspirée par le surréalisme. Sa peinture a pour caractéristique l’usage méthodique de la ligne harmonieuse à l’encre de Chine. A l’aide d’une plume, il trace des traits précis, souligne les formes et en fait ressortir leurs particularités.
Vient ensuite une période de développement de l’identité artistique par l’étude des couleurs dans leur rapport avec les formes. La synthèse de ces expériences aboutit à une phase de maturité où l’utilisation de l’encre de chine et de la couleur sublime une œuvre remarquable par son style unique. De grands tableaux à l’acrylique et aux couleurs éclatantes, enrichis d’une multitude d’arabesques à l’encre noire, caractérisent cette évolution. Les paysages parfois tourmentés, les personnages et objets dépeints de manière réaliste ou allégorique, suscitent chez le spectateur des émotions intenses par la variété des sujets présentés.
Guidé par ses sentiments, les diverses périodes de sa vie ont été couchées sur toile. Les circonstances de la vie à l’époque de sa jeunesse ont influencé l’apparition d’ombres sombres et froides, s’éclaircissant au fil des ans, pour livrer des tableaux plus légers et lumineux, avec toujours en filigrane, un style totalement reconnaissable.
Son œuvre a été exposée dans de nombreuses galeries en Suisse, ainsi qu’à l’étranger.

Jeta artistike e Sam Asllanit fillon qysh në moshën e tij shumë të re. Gjatë kohës kur ai vijonte mësimet në shkollën e tij të fshatit i mbushte fletoret e tija të shkrimit me vizatime. Kështu talenti i tij do të vërehet shumë shpejt nga gazetat e përditshme të njohura të asaj kohe, të cilat edhe do t’i publikojnë rregullisht karikaturat dhe ilustrimet e tija. Pasi regjistrohet në akademinë e arteve, ai braktis karikaturën për t’iu përkushtuar krejtësisht pikturës.
Vepra e Asllanit pasqyron një zhvillim të vazhdueshëm në të menduarit artistik dhe në të shprehurit e emocioneve. Periudha e tij e parë e mësimit dhe formimit, me vegime ngjyruese, inspirohet shumë nga surealizmi. Është karakteristike për pikturën e tij përdorimi metodik i vijës harmonike me ngjyrë të zezë. Me ndihmën e penës, ai përvijon dhe luan me vijat e zeza, për të vënë në dukje format dhe për të nxjerrë në pah veçoritë e tyre.
Pastaj vjen një periudhë e zhvillimit të identitetit artistik nëpërmjet studimit të ngjyrave në raportin e tyre me format. Sinteza e këtyre eksperiencave shpie në një fazë të pjekurisë ku përdorimi i vijës së zezë dhe ngjyrave fisnikëron një vepër të shquar për nga stili unik. Këtë zhvillim e karakterizojnë piktura të mëdha akrilike me ngjyra të shkëlqyeshme dhe të pasuruara me shumë arabeska të zeza. Peizazhet ndonjëherë të trazuara, personazhet dhe objektet të pikturuar në mënyrë realiste ose alegorike, nxisin te shikuesit emocione të forta nëpërmjet larmisë së subjekteve të paraqitura.
I udhëhequr nga ndjenjat e tija, periudhat e ndryshme të jetës së tij janë paraqitur mbi pëlhurë. Rrethanat e krijimit në rininë e tij ndikojnë të paraqitjen e hijeve të errëta dhe të ftohta në pikturë. Ato kthjellohen gjatë viteve në vijim, për të na dhënë piktura më të lehta dhe më të ndritshme, por gjithnjë duke ruajtur në filigran stilin tij tani më krejtësisht të njohur.
Vepra e tij ka qenë e ekspozuar nëpër shumë galeri të Zvicrës por edhe jashtë saj.
